No you can not pick up your shirt after event day. We also do not mail out shirts before or after the event for Sporting Life 10K participants.
No, unfortunately due to the number of participants we cannot guarantee t-shirt sizes will be exactly as ordered.
Yes, everyone who crosses the finish line receives a finisher medal.
Transfer requests will only be accepted until Wednesday, April 17, 2024. You can transfer your in-person run entry to the virtual run at no cost until Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 11:59PM.
NOTE: that you will not be refunded the difference in registration fee. Please email us at sportinglife10k@sportinglife.ca to initiate the transfer process.
No, you can not exchange your shirt at kit pick up or on event day. If you wish to change your shirt size, you may do so until Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 11:59pm in the Participant Dashboard

- Choose your team name.
- Nominate a Team Captain.
- The Team Captain registers for the Sporting Life 10K and creates the team during registration.
- The Team Captain informs team members that the team has been created.
- The Team members register for the Sporting Life 10K individually and join the team by selecting the team name from the drop down menu on the registration form.
- Team members can be registered for the in-person and virtual Sporting Life 10K events.
Campfire Circle provides life-changing programs for kids and families affected by childhood cancer or serious illnesses, at no cost to them. As a registered charity, Campfire Circle relies solely on the generosity of donors, fundraisers, volunteers, and partners to deliver camp-inspired programs in hospital, at community events, and at overnight camps. Fundraising through Sporting Life 10K ensures Campfire Circle reaches more kids and families across Ontario.

Yes, all children 12 years of age and under can participate when accompanied by an adult. Children must be a minimum of 8 years old to participate as a registered participant.
Children under 8 years of age can be a part of the event if they are in a stroller or in a baby jogger. Children in strollers are free, however, as they are not registered participants, they will not receive a run shirt, bib or finisher medal.
Yes, walkers are encouraged to participate. All walkers should enter 2:00 hours as your finishing time.
Registration for the in-person Sporting Life 10K closes on April 28, 2024 or when we reach our maximum capacity.
In 2024, registration will be capped at 20,000 for in-person run and 750 for the virtual run.
Yes, there is a time limit. All participants have 2 hours to complete the course – approx. a 12:00 min/km pace.
Yes, athletes requiring the use of a wheelchair are welcome to participate.
- If you are using a racing wheelchair with three wheels, please email us at: sportinglife10k@sportinglife.ca
- If you are using a four-wheeled chair, or a recreational wheelchair, please enter your true estimated finishing time when you register.
- The use of hand cranks, levers, motors or mechanical gears (e.g hand cycles) are not permitted. Please see the International Paralympic Committee’s Athletics Rules and Regulations for more details.

For 40 years, Campfire Circle offers healing through happiness for thousands of kids and families affected by childhood cancer or serious illnesses by providing programs that give kids the chance to just be kids—engaging in community, in-hospital, and overnight camp programs, at no cost to them. Relying solely on donors and fundraisers, participating in the Sporting Life 10K ensures Campfire Circle continues to reach more kids and their families, year-round, across Ontario.
In-hospital, community and overnight programs continue all-year round. Overnight camp operates at Rainbow Lake and Muskoka. In-hospital programs are offered bedside at SickKids, McMaster Hospital and the Children’s Hospital at London Health Sciences. Local, accessible community programs take place in Toronto, Hamilton, London, and Ottawa.
No, Camp Ooch & Camp Trillium merged in 2020, and in January 2022 became Campfire Circle, placing kids and families affected by childhood cancer or serious illnesses at the heart of what we do, and recognizes the caring community surrounding them.

Yes! Teams can have both in-person and virtual team members.
Yes, there are perks for raising funds for Campfire Circle. You can have your registration fee reimbursed and “Run for Free” if you raise $300 by May 31, 2023*
- In order to qualify, the $300 total cannot include any personal donations made by you to your own personal fundraising page.
- The registration reimbursement does not include HST or processing fees.
- All reimbursements will be issued by September 30, 2023.
Additional perks will be announced to all participants in the months leading up to the Sporting Life 10K.
Your tax receipt will be sent via email. It will be sent separate from your event confirmation. If you do not receive your tax receipt via email please contact SL10K@campfirecircle.org for support.
The Sporting Life 10K starts in waves between 7:30am-8:40am.
Yes, we use the MyLap bibtag timing system provided by Sportstats
They will be based on your assigned arrival time. This time will be emailed to you on May 6th along with your bib #.
To receive an elite athlete entry, our qualifying standards are:
MEN
Open — sub 33:00 minutes
Masters (40 years+) — sub 37:00 minutes
WOMEN
Open — sub 37:00 minutes
Masters (40 years+) — sub 40:00 minutes

The route is primarily downhill with the final 2km (approx.) being flat.
Yes, we will be providing shuttle buses this year from the finish line to the start line only. There are no shuttle buses after the run taking you back to the start line. Please see the Getting to the Start Line section of the Run Information Page for more info.
The Sporting Life 10K start line is located at 1985 Yonge St at Davisville Ave. This is 1.9K south of the Sporting Life store.
The Sporting Life 10K proceeds south down the iconic Yonge St to Richmond St. The route continues west on Richmond St, to York St, west on Bremner to Rees St and then along to Lakeshore Blvd and then to the finish line.
After crossing the finish line, the fun continues at Exhibition Place at Bandshell Park for the Post-Event Party. It’s a time to celebrate what you have accomplished and the impact you have on the lives of kids and families affected by childhood cancer. Together we will raise $2 million for CAMPFIRE CIRCLE so that kids affected by childhood cancer can just be kids.
Due to the size of the event there will be several road closures on Sunday, May 12. Please allow additional travel time to reach your destination especially if you need to get across Yonge St. between Eglinton Ave. and Wellington St. and/or travel on Lakeshore Blvd.

Ideally not. You should enjoy the event atmosphere and environment. If you do wear them, please ensure that the volume is low enough to hear any instructions given to you by our course marshals and that you are aware of others around you.

The distance of the event is 10K, and is certified by Athletics Canada – # ON-2022-003-DRY.
Due to the size of the event and for the safety of all participants, we regret that: scooters, inline skates, bicycles, skateboards and non-service dogs are not permitted in the Sporting Life 10K.

COVID-19 Protocol And Policy Questions
As safety is our number one priority, we will continue to follow the guidelines issued by the Province of Ontario and Toronto Public Health. All participants must review and follow the recommended guidelines and COVID-19 protocols mandated by Sporting Life 10K at the time of the event.
